Great Gear For A Mad Baker

Monday, April 27, 2009

Thanks

Thanks to everyone who participated in any way to our fundraiser and bake sale. We had so many people come to us with donations, helping hands with the bake sale items, our neighbor Monica for helping us price all the items out, and for the Hansens for letting us use their canopy. Honestly, the canopy saved most of our day. For the first 2 hours, it rained, hailed, almost snowed, but we still had a crowd of people there trying to find their deal. While we would have had better results with fairer weather, we are grateful for what we were able to achieve and again wish to express our thanks to all of you who worked behind the scenes for us. Oh, and one other shout out to Kyle and Whitney Denton who came up from West Jordan to drop off donations and watch all 6 kids...for 5 hours! It's not an easy task, I know, I do it everyday.

Autism Speaks Garage & Bake Sale

I am thrilled to donate some of my three favorite bread varieties to the Autism Speaks garage sale in support of Team Dylan. My son, Dylan, is one of the 1 in 133 children in Utah who is affected by this disorder. I have witnessed first hand what a difference early intervention can mean in the life of these children and their families. Together we can find the missing pieces.
